Dr. Desimira Mironova is a specialist in endocrinology and metabolic disorders with a strong focus on hormonal health during menopause. She earned her medical degree from the Medical University of Sofia in 2012 and completed her specialization at the Military Medical Academy in Sofia.
Since 2023, Dr. Mironova has led the Metabolic Center at “Lozenetz” Hospital while managing her private practice. She holds a PhD in clinical pharmacology and toxicology, with research focusing on hormonal imbalances and their effects on metabolism and thyroid function. As chair of the Bulgarian Association for Reproductive and Metabolic Diseases, she is actively involved in menopause-related clinical research.
With a particular interest in insulin resistance, osteoporosis, and weight management during menopause, Dr. Mironova integrates scientific advancements into patient-centered treatments. She is a member of the European Society of Endocrinology, the European Association for the Study of Obesity, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology and the Bulgarian Society of Endocrinology.
